ISLAMABAD (Monitoring Desk) Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam (F) central leader and former Senator Hafiz Hamidullah suspended the decision to cancel Pakistani citizenship, NADRA sought response in 2 weeks, according to private TV, Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court Athar Man The bench, headed by Allah, heard the petition against the cancellation of Hafiz Hamdullah’s citizenship.
Meanwhile, the petitioner and Nadra’s lawyer appeared. At the beginning of the proceedings, the petitioner’s lawyer took the stand that Nadra canceled his client’s ID card. Has applied for the decision in NADRA.
No action was taken on that week. On the arguments of the lawyer, Nadra was told by the court that for the first time in December 2018, a letter was written to Hafiz Hamidullah, the district level committee was informed, followed by the Hafiz Hamdullah committee.
I came in and submitted the documents which were sought, however, the documents turned out to be fake. On this, the Chief Justice of the High Court inquired whether Hafiz Hamdullah had children or did his Pakistani identity card have been made on which the applicant.
The lawyer told the court that the children have identity cards and a son is in the army. Atharmanullah remarked that the mother who sent her son to sacrifice on her homeland could be suspected of her husband’s citizenship. Later, after hearing the preliminary arguments, Hafiz Hamdullah’s intention to cancel Pakistani citizenship.
Suspending NADRA has asked for a response to the matter within two weeks.
